How could I ever forget you No-Maam!
I'm doing really well thanks. It's been difficult learning some new healthy habits, but I'm sticking to them all, and after 14 weeks, I look and feel much better than ever. I've lost at least 10kgs already and my clothes are starting to look baggy on me. Only another 5kgs until I reach my target weight! I guess it's a bit like respawning, but I've got to be a bit more careful than before.
SPEECH ALERT
Besides looking after my physical health, I've also been tackling my mental state and how I deal with the stress of home and work life. It's important to protect yourself from external pressures, but instead of running away from them, I'm facing up to them in a firm yet non-confrontational way. So far, people are responding very positively to the new Wabbit!
As I've said before, I've realised more than ever that family and friends are the most important thing in the universe. I've neglected this area of my life for years and pursued my career instead. Having material comforts is one thing, but after a while you start asking yourself why you're doing it. This is my opportunity to try and repair the damage I've done over the years, and spend the rest of my life, living the way I should have always lived it. I'm so lucky to have a second chance, so I'm making the most of it.
It is curious, that man needs this kind of warning shot to come down to the really important things in life. I´ve learned my lesson as well.
I keep my fingers crossed, spitting three times over your shoulder* and kiss the chimney sweeper** that you will hold the course.

Thanks OSONS,
That was just over 2 years ago (at the tender age of 41.75), but I'm doing ok, as long as I keep taking the pills.
My wine consumption has gone through the roof lately and I've put a load of weight back on, but I managed to keep off the cigarettes and I feel quite good in myself.
I still try not to get into avoidable stressful situations, so I can save myself for all the unavoidable ones!
I was given the "All Clear" from the London Chest Hospital in December, so now all I have to do is see my GP every 6 months, and try to stay as healthy as possible.
